Manufacturing Process

It was the end of the summer when we received a message from the management of the Mori Arts Center Gallery.

After seeing our work, Jewelry Lamp, made of kinpu (gold fabric) they ordered us to make gold ornaments made of kinpu for the Roppongi Hills Christmas event, 2008. Many precious metal manufacturers have produced Christmas ornaments before; their works were made of beaten or stretched gold. We designed a new style of Christmas ornament; soft pieces with a light texture, made with kinpu.
Narrow kinpu, woven with pure gold filaments were draped around the body, and then decorated with jewels. It was completed at midnight the day before the opening.

Kinpu, pure woven gold, attracted many people to the gallery. The exhibit lasted until January after Christmas.
It was hard work, we suffered through trials and errors, stretching the limits of our ability, but now our creativity is greatly advanced and developed. We realized that producing creative work is very important.
